HOLY CROSS RECREATION CENTER

College of the Holy Cross is building a new recreation and wellness center in place of the campus's 72-year-old Field House. The 52,000-square-foot, three-story facility will also offer more recreational space and services than the previous Field House. Among the new amenities will be sports courts, a golf simulator, and a suspended running track. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 2,154 square feet of Metal Composite Material totaling 142 panels

The original building on the corner of 17th and L Street, which was constructed in 1974, was demolished to accommodate a new, 12-story office building located in Washington DC's Central Business District. The 154,000 square-foot project will feature ground floor retail, four stories of below-grade parking, in addition to amenities like a fitness center and rooftop terrace. Set to open this summer, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing more than 10,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material and more than 4,000 square feet of Stainless Steel, plus architectural louvers.

LYNN REHABILITATION CENTER

The Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for the Jackson Health System is poised to become one of the world's premier rehabilitation hospitals. The center will treat adult and pediatric patients with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries in a state-of-the-art 250,000-square-foot facility. Patients will benefit from indoor and outdoor spaces and patient apartments, where patients and caregivers can practice new, safe skills before returning home. Turner Construction Company is leading the project and MillerClapperton is fabricating more than 11,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material, totaling nearly 500 panels.

COSTEX TRACTOR PARTS

60 Charlton Street in Manhattan is undergoing a transformation, which includes vertically enlarging the existing six story building into a twleve story, Class A, boutique office building. The square footage will increase from 50,000 to 98,000 square feet and plans include an outdoor terrace space for the 11th and 12th floors. The ground floor will also be converted to retail space and the lobby will be relocated to Charlton Street. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 2,462 square feet of Fiber Cement and a total of more than 700 panels.

COSTEX TRACTOR PARTS

Costex Tractor Parts specializes in the distribution of new replacement parts for Caterpillar equipment, and they are currently building a new corporate headquarters in Miami, FL near their current location. The new building will have 3 floors of office space totaling 90,000 square feet and 2 floors of warehouse space totaling 380,000 square feet. Combining their operations into one site will increase efficiency across all departments and offers greater capabilities to store a variety of parts. The modern and bright exterior design will feature 3,588 square of Metal Composite Material fabricated by MillerClapperton.

THE OSPREY

The Osprey is a new, 12-story apartment building taking shape on the Upper Westside of Atlanta at the corner of 10th and Howell Mill. Once completed, the building will house 319 luxury apartments with skyline views, and 13,000 square feet of street-level retail and restaurant space. Additional amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, sky lounge, and pet spa.

This is also the first building in Atlanta to utilize a new modular metal framing process that allowed for a quicker and more precise process than building with traditional materials. The improvement in efficiency allowed the builder to ultimately set aside a share of units as affordable housing. For this project, MillerClapperton will be fabricating and installing 1,496 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

ARTHREX OFFICE TOWER

Company Arthrex is nearing completion of their 122-foot tower that will support the medical device manufacturer's growth. This tower replaces an earlier building that was demolished, and overall, the expansion of the company's headquarters will include three new buildings. This particular office tower will stretch 6 stories and 300,000 square feet, and it will include ample meeting space, a 15,000-square-foot cafeteria, and a parking garage with 1,400 spots. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating nearly 13,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

BROADWAY RESIDENCES

The first phase of this long awaited project involved adapting connected 12- and six-story office buildings into 28,000 square feet of new retail space topped by 342 luxury apartments with a canopy restaurant. The project is part of a wave of new developments along Broadway that is transforming the Uptown neighborhood, which is known for having a lot of character and its own unique culture. MillerClapperton is fabricating nearly 30,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material to build 668 panels for this project.

STAR METALS

Star Metals Atlanta is a new mixed-use development in the heart of Atlanta's West Midtown neighborhood. The project will consist of multi-family residential and retail, in addition to Star Metals' Offices, a Class A office building directly across the street that will also have ground floor retail. The offices pictured above will feature 227,000 square feet of space with 11-13-ft ceiling and open floor plans for customization. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 48,700 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 60,400 square feet of Profiled Single Skin material.

MOVING IN THE SPIRIT

Moving in the Spirit is an award-winning creative youth development program that uses dance to teach young people the social, emotional, and cognitive skills they need to thrive. The nonprofit was selected as the community arts anchor for a new transit-oriented development at the Edgewood/Candler Park rail station.  The building is poised to become the centerpiece of the mixed-use project, which is transforming a former parking lot into housing, greenspace, and community amenities. For the project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 11,400 square feet of Fiber Cement totaling more than 600 panels.

BLVD AT LENOX

South Beach will be getting its first Target store at the new BLVD at Lenox, located in one of the most traveled commercial areas. The contemporary, 5-story development features more than 82,000 square feet of retail space and 224 parking spaces. It will also be one of the biggest LEED-certified buildings in Miami Beach once its completed. The facade includes an architectural concrete feature wall, as well as other cladding materials, which consists of 5,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material fabricated by MillerClapperton.

NORTH COBB LIBRARY

North Cobb Regional Library opened to the public in September 2019. The new building consolidates and replaces the former Kennesaw and Acworth libraries that were built in the mid-60's. Located on Old Highway 41 in Kennesaw, the 25,000 square foot space offers interactive play areas, dedicated child and teen reading rooms, creative space, a community room, study rooms, and a drive-up book drop. Outside, the playful angular sightlines of the building are accented with 9,870 square feet of Metal Composite Material in Harvest Gold. MillerClapperton fabricated and installed more than 330 panels for the project.

FOREVER 21 ATLANTIC STATION

Atlantic Station is undergoing a major transformation, which includes the addition of a flagship Forever 21, among other new tenants. The store occupies 21,000 square feet and it's located between Park East District and Market Street. The front facade has been decked out with a unique and iridescent basketweave tile, while MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing Metal Composite Material panels along the side of the store facing the open air walkway.

The new regional medical center in Prince George County will promote improved access to primary and ambulatory care services for county residents. The first phase of development includes a new, freestanding teaching hospital and ambulatory care building. Located adjacent to a Metro station, the medical center will ultimately anchor a pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use development. A new, 16-story curved office tower is taking shape adjacent to Perimeter Mall and the Dunwoody MARTA station. Once complete, the project will bring 334,000 square feet of Class A office space and 11,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space to the site. A bridge will connect the building to an existing MARTA parking deck and station. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 23,255 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 36,882 square feet of Single Skin in various profiles.

VESTAVIA MEDICAL CENTER

The new 40,000 square foot medical facility will serve as an outpatient ambulatory surgical center, diagnostic center, and office space for 12 physicians in Vestavia Hills. The multi-specialty surgical center will include spinal surgery, orthopedic surgery, ear, nose, and throat services, pain management and other specialties. MillerClapperton is currently fabricating and installing 13,581 square feet of Metal Composite Material and the building is expected to open later this Fall.

The 11-story office building is the third and final phase of the Sentinel Square development.  Located in Washington, DC's NoMA neighborhood, the 728,000 square-foot structure will be the largest of the Sentinel Square buildings. The project is designed to achieve LEED Silver certification and will include office space, common amenity areas, a penthouse, and three levels of below-grade parking. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 2,555 square feet of Metal Composite material for the entry soffit and 705 square feet of Plate Aluminum as trim for the facade.

Baptist Health South Florida is adding a new, 4-story medical office building in Plantation, Florida. The state-of-the-art, 114,000 sq.ft. building will house an Urgent Care Center, Diagnostic Center, Radiation Oncology Center, and Physical Therapy among other services, including a shell space for further expansion. An additional parking garage with 422 spaces will accompany the offices on the 2.7 acre lot. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 19,537 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

Prince William County broke ground earlier this year on a new middle school at Potomac Shores. Located along River Heritage Boulevard, the school will help relieve near-overcrowding at several area schools. The 197,954 square-foot middle school will have the capacity for 1,464 students, and it will house a grade level on each of its three stories. Once completed, students will enjoy an 800-seat auditorium, a secure courtyard, labs, group activity rooms, and extended learning areas for project-based learning and group work. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 25,870 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

W Nashville is the newest addition of W Hotels Worldwide, which is part of Marriott International. The 16-story, 400,000 square-foot hotel will enhance the live-work-play atmosphere of The Gulch by fusing design, fashion, and music in a way that differentiates the property from any other in the Nashville market.   

The property will house 346 guestrooms including 50 suites among several upscale amenities such as a gym with yoga lawn, a 9,700 square-foot swimming pool deck with cabanas, and a modern rooftop bar. For the project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 9,753 square feet of Metal Composite Material, 6,053 square feet of Profiled Single Skin, 40,922 square feet of Fiber Cement, 3,950 square feet of Insulated Metal, and 2,726 square feet of Plate Aluminum, in addition to BladeScreens.

The Works at Chattahoochee is an 80-acre Upper Westside development outside Atlanta. Renovations on the historic industrial area began in late 2017 and new tenants are lining up for what is poised to be a vibrant mixed-use community. The master plan preserves the character of Atlanta's historic industrial Upper Westside, while infusing new retail, office, residential, entertainment, and open spaces to complete the multi-phase development. MillerClapperton is currently fabricating 13,025 square feet of 1/8" Plate Aluminum for the project's parking deck.

TWELVE BRIDGES HIGH SCHOOL

A new high school is being built in Lincoln, CA for the Western Placer Unified School District. The new building will accommodate the growing Lincoln community with room for over 2,000 students, and the first phase of the project will include classrooms, an administrative building, athletic stadium and field, space for performing arts, and staff and student parking. GEMINI JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

The current school serves 7th and 8th grade students, but following the completion of renovations and an addition, the school will expand to serve 6th-8th grade students. To accommodate the growing size, the addition will include 66,553 square feet of new space and 38,421 square feet of remodeled space. The new school will not only have more classrooms, it will have spaces for collaborative learning, areas to facilitate social development and independence, in addition to improved fine arts and athletic facilities. A new service center for Gulfstream Aerospace is being built on the east side of Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, which will compliment its existing 679,199 square-foot main service center at the Georgia airfield.  The additional 202,000 square-foot building is expected reach completion this summer, at which time Gulfstream will have more than 1 million square feet of dedicate customer-support hangar space.  The new facility will offer a wide range of services, including aircraft-on-ground resources, hourly and calendar-driven airframe inspections, avionics installations and interior refurbishments.  MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing more than 6,200 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.

EDGEWOOD RECREATION CENTER

The Edgewood Recreation Center is replacing the existing community center with a larger, state-of-the-art facility, which will contain an indoor gymnasium, fitness room, multipurpose rooms, computers, youth and senior lounges, and a rooftop farm. The 16,000 square-foot  recreation center is poised to bring needed resources to the community once completed. The new center is one more step toward building the healthiest, greenest, and most sustainable city in the world, according to the city's mayor. GC America is expanding its headquarters in Alsip, IL from 95,000 square feet to 150,000, allowing them to consolidate operations from several nearby locations to one central location.  The expansion of the dental products company will consist of a warehouse, office, and training center with immediate plans to house all 300 employees with growth for 350 employees.  For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated 4,030 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

UAB PROTON

The University of Alabama (UAB) Proton Therapy Center will be the first center of its kind in the state when the project is completed in 2020. The new facility is just one way that UAB Medicine is improving health care for residents of the state, and even the region. The center is expected to be a life-changing resource for cancer patients, which combines the advanced cancer-fighting radiation technology with the skill, experience, and resources of Proton International and UAB. The exterior of the three-story building will feature 6,738 square feet of Metal Composite Material fabricated and installed by MillerClapperton.
