HARDER ELEMENTARY

The old campus was demolished to make way for a new campus for Harder Elementary School, which is nearing completion in California's Bay Area. According to architect Lionakis, "the design inspiration comes from the community and surrounding area. The campus design is abstract and celebrates long time mascot, the Hawk."  The campus will include a two-story classroom building, a single core building with administrative services, a learning commons, and multi-purpose space with food service, totaling 75,000 square feet. For this project, MillerClapperton is 5,900 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

Fillmore Unified School District in Fillmore, CA is adding two new Career Technical Education (CTE) facilities to its campus. Two former classroom buildings were demolished to make way for the new structures that will serve Transportation and Agricultural CTE programs. The 1-story, 8,500-square-foot building will serve as the Transportation Building, and the 2-story, 13,500-square-foot Agriculture Building will house a digital fabrication lab, wood shop, metal shop (wow!), shared classrooms, a science classroom, and green house. The programs offered here are designed to harbor teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills to prepare students to be agile in college and beyond. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 2,900 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

Originally constructed in 1968, Dean Hall at Central Washington University was first renovated in 2008, at which time it earned LEED Gold certification and became the first LEED building on campus. The three-story, 77,353-square-foot building on the campus' west side is home to several departments including Anthropology and Museum studies, Geography and Land studies, and the Resource Management program. More than a decade later, the building is undergoing another refresh with Metal Composite Material panels being installed along the parapet. MillerClapperton is fabricating 3,400 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

The new YMCA in Marion, IA has been a project a decade in the making. The 75,000-sqaure-foot regional YMCA will have three basketball and volleyball courts, two soft-surface racquetball courts and a one-eighth mile track. In addition, the new facility will include 7,000 square feet of fitness and exercise space, a community room, a six-lane lap pool, a warm water leisure pool and a cafe. MillerClapperton is fabricating 4,500 square feet of High Pressure Laminate Plank Panels for the project.

TWELVE BRIDGES HIGH SCHOOL

Twelve Bridges High School is currently under construction on a 56-acre site in Lincoln, CA. The project includes several buildings including a 5,000-square-foot administration building, a 71,000-square-foot student center, plus four modular buildings. The new high school will accommodate the growing community of Lincoln with room for more than 2,000 students. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 8,400 square feet of High Pressure Laminate material.

MARRIOTT AC HOTEL

A dual-brand hotel is coming to downtown Oakland. The project will contain both a Marriott Residence Inn and a AC Hotel. The 18-story hotel located on Jefferson St. will dedicate lower levels to the Residence Inn with a mix of studios and one-bedroom apartments, which is geared toward longer stays. The upper floors will be in the AC Hotel style, aimed at millennial customers and shorter stays with a higher level of finishes and amenities. For the project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 10,400 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 45,000 square feet of Fiber Cement panels.

RANE CULINARY SCIENCE CENTER

Auburn University broke ground on the Rane Culinary Science Center in the Spring of 2019 with plans to construct a center unlike any other in the world. The 142,000-square-foot structure is certainly unique, as it will blend an innovative learning environment with a luxury boutique hotel and restaurant. No other facility has a teaching hotel, teaching restaurant, a range of classrooms, demonstration and food production laboratories, a food hall, wine appreciation center, distilled spirits center and brewing science lab under one roof. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 2,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.

The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is expanding to accommodate the growing demand for the Center's services. The two-year transformation expands the current Center by adding 10,000 square feet and a new patient-centric footprint. Within the new Center will be expanded and renovated clinic areas, including 22 physician exam rooms. The infusion area is expanding to 28 chemotherapy bays with a focus on calmness, healing, and comfort, in addition to upgrades to the existing pharmacy. RUHS MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING

Riverside University Health System (RUHS) opened the doors to their new medical office building earlier this year. The 200,000-square-foot, three-story facility occupies 17.4 acres on the southern portion of the 80-acre RUHS medical center campus and is connected to the existing hospital via a pedestrian bridge. Included in the new building are specialty physician groups, an outpatient surgery center, and expanded pharmacy services. For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated 27,700 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

The Collective Apartments at Main Gate is located on Second St. near the University of Arizona in Tucson, which is part of a larger project that includes a boutique hotel. The complex will offer retail, restaurants, and a public plaza, and stands 14 stories tall with 238 apartments, 165 hotel rooms, along with a rooftop swimming pool. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 1,400 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

The new, 292 apartment complex rests above 8,000 square feet of retail on the site of the former Sandy Springs Post Office. Amenities include two outdoor courtyards, a top floor club room/amenity space, and a pool deck with skyline views atop a seven-story parking deck. A new Margaritaville Vacation Club in downtown Atlanta is under construction at the corner of Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Nassau Street. The Jimmy Buffet-branded resort complex will reach 21-stories and offer 207 timeshare units ranging from studios to four-bedroom suites. The project will also feature two floors of retail and 14,200 square feet of dedicated restaurant space, in addition to a pool and fitness center on the 19th floor. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 110,300 square feet of Metal Composite Material, 8,000 square feet of Profiled Single Skin, and 3,300 square feet of extruded aluminum planks.

An expansion is currently underway at the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. The multi-million dollar expansion includes a new, 263,000-square-foot, four-story tower. The first level will be a new emergency room, with the second, third, and fourth levels of the new tower dedicated for inpatient services, including a new location for the hospital's intensive care unit. At the southeast corner of Howell Mill Road and 14th Street, "The Interlock" is a new mixed-use project that will offer 200,000 square feet of office space, 90,000 square feet of retail, more than 300 apartments, and a 165-room hotel called 'The Bellyard'. The upscale hotel will be operated under a franchise agreement with Marriott International, Inc. under the Tribute Portfolio brand. The hotel will feature a signature restaurant and bar, 5,500 square feet of meeting/event space, a fitness center, an outdoor terrace with skyline views of Atlanta, as well as a rooftop swimming pool. Total Quality Logistics is adding a second building to its headquarters campus at Ivy Pointe Boulevard, and plans are to add 600 more jobs over the next five years, primarily in sales and information technology roles. The privately-owned transport and shipping company will ultimately hold more than 2,000 employees when construction of the 130,000 square foot building is complete. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 16,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material, 6,300 square feet of single skin, and 9,100 square feet of extruded aluminum planks.

The County Justice Center (CJC) Courthouse was originally built in 1982 with a major addition in 1996. The 533,773 total square foot complex has significant portions of existing buildings under construction, as well as a planned 76,540 square foot new Courthouse Annex building. A new 5,000 square foot main entrance and lobby is also being added to the complex. Monad Terrace is a 59-unit, luxury condo project in Miami. Standing 14 stories tall, the building is designed to artfully direct the play of daylight and water alongside Biscayne Bay and the building's glass facade will have a honeycomb screen to ensure privacy with unobstructed views. Amenities will include a sun deck with a 116-foot swiming pool and hot tub, valet parking, a cafe and juice bar, wellness center, and a water sports storage room. Currently under construction at Contra Costa College is a new, 3-story building, which will house the entire science department with a total of 55,000 square feet. The first floor will have expanded biology labs and classrooms, and the third floor will feature labs for chemistry, engineering, physics, in addition to a new planetarium as well as an rooftop observation deck equipped with telescopes. ActionPak, a contract manufacturing, packaging, and supply chain solutions company is relocating with its parent company, ResinTech, a water treatment and filtration company to Camden, New Jersey. Two new manufacturing plants are being constructed near Federal Street and River Road, which are expected to be fueled by solar power and LEED Silver certified. The new campus will consist of 27 acres with a total of 363,000 square feet of manufacturing and distribution space. New student housing for the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) is situated on a 2.5 city block in downtown Savannah. The project consists of two resident halls totaling 650 beds and a parking garage containing 260 parking spaces. Combined, the spaces will deliver 250,000 square feet of living space with the West Hall standing 4 stories tall and the East Hall standing 5 stories tall. Exterior treatments for both buildings will consist of brick, curtain wall, metal panels, and stucco. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 6,650 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.

The Hayward Unified School District in Northern California is adding new STEAM buildings on each of it's three high school campuses. STEAM which is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, art, and math, supports an interdisciplinary project-based curriculum, which these new buildings will house. Each building has two stories and will provide eight learning spaces, two science labs, a "maker space" and demonstration lobby.

There are breakout rooms and alcoves, as well as outdoor leaning areas, plus an orchard and garden. The classrooms are designed to be flexible, allowing for a variety of learning styles and teaching methodologies. Each building is designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification from the United States Green Building Council. MillerClapperton is fabricating 1,054 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.

A new multimillion-dollar horse racing and entertainment venue is nearing completion in Oak Grove, Kentucky. The state-of-art facility will feature live horse racing and horse racing machines, a 128-room hotel, a grandstand, a 3,000-seat outdoor amphitheater, and an equestrian center. At the junction of Midtown and Buckhead is the site of the new 1781 Peachtree, a mixed-use project featuring two, eight-story towers, atop a three-story parking, office, and retail podium. The total project comprises 244,000 square feet and is set to deliver 265 apartments in addition to an amenity deck for residents. 1781 Peachtree joins a growing list of transformations underway between Piedmont Hospital and the Peachtree Street Gateway Bridge. The Alexan Doral is a 350-unit luxury apartment building that is part of AvalonBay. UAB NEW RESIDENCE HALL

A 231,000-square-foot residence hall is under construction near the Campus Green at the University of Alabama. The new residence will help meet increased demand for on-campus housing and it will join six other residence halls when completed this Fall. The U-shaped building adds space for 730 additional students and consists of dedicated study spaces, a storm shelter, multi-use office space, and a dining venue with three food vendors. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 9,566 square feet of MCM Panels.

SAWMILL STATION

Sawmill Station will occupy the site of the now raised Prairie View Shopping Center. The new site plans include 240,000 square feet of retail and entertainment space, plus a movie theatre and six-story multifamily apartment building. The 26-acre site located at the corner of Dempster Street and Waukegan Road is expected to be complete by Fall 2020. For the project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 6,000 square feet of fiber cement for the shopping center's grocery store, which is now under construction.

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the busiest airport in Florida and a gateway to some of the most visited destinations in the U.S. In order to meet record-setting passenger growth, the airport is undergoing the largest construction project in its history: the South Terminal Complex. Phase I of the project will add 19 gates capable of accommodating up to 27 aircraft, including narrow body, jumbo and super-jumbo jets. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 4,468 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

Rosslyn City Center, previously known as Rosslyn Metro Center, is undergoing a major renovation that includes new access from the street level to a renovated second-floor terrace. UAB MCCALLUM BUILDING

The McCallum Basic Health Science Building at the University of Alabama is undergoing an interior and exterior renovation. The 9-story, nearly 175,000-square-foot building was originally built in 1985 and the renovation is one of many significant capital improvements happening at the university.  For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 23,173 square feet of Metal Composite Material, which will replace brick on the facade for the top two floors of the building.

1300 4th Street is the second phase of a two-building project that will deliver 10,750 square feet of retail space below 134 units. The project is located in Washington DC's up-and-coming Union Market neighborhood and its urban design features a dark grey exterior with large expanses of glass and steel. For the project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 2,848 square feet of Profiled Single Skin and 5,235 square feet of 1/8" and 1/4" Plate Aluminum.

THE EDISON PEMBROKE PINES

The Edison is a multi-storied office park that features a creative office campus, which will be built in two phases. Phase I was completed recently with 165,000 square feet of Class A office space featuring high ceilings, large windows, indoor and outdoor collaboration areas, and 24/7 access. An additional 5,000-square-foot clubhouse will have a fitness center, meeting space, and a cafe. For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated 1,937 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 1,055 square feet of 16-gauge steel.

Last Spring, ChemTreat broke ground on their new applied technology lab. The 25,000-square-foot facility is  being constructed across the street from an existing ChemTreat manufacturing plant. The new lab will provide advanced capabilities to support the company's water treatment customers with industry-leading water analysis. It will also feature state-of-the-art research and development facilities to enable ChemTreat to develop new technologies and solutions for its customers. The Hyatt Place in Titusville, FL will soon be able to boast a standout feature: a launch-viewing lounge. The 118-room hotel is nearing completion and is situated just a 10-minute drive away from the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. In addition to the lounge, the hotel will feature a pool, bar, restaurant, gym, and meeting space. For the exterior, MillerClapperon is fabricating and installing 2,400 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

NORTH HILLS TOWER 4

Tower 4, also known as the Advance Auto Parts Tower will soon join the North Hills mixed-use district in Raleigh's new Midtown. The 20-story building will integrate parking and office space into the district's unique combination of live, shop, play and stay venues. The tower's striking glass geometry comprises 11 levels of office space and a well-appointed amenity level, as well as a generous ground floor entry plaza. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 11,600 square feet of Metal Composite Material, plus 5,280 square feet of Single Skin and 1,400 square feet of Plate Aluminum.

Chemical manufacturer Ingevity Corp. is expanding its presence in North Charleston by building a new global corporate headquarters near its current operations. The 110,000-square-foot building will be located near the Garco site, which is undergoing renovations as a mixed-use project. The new headquarters will house the company's leadership, business, non-technical support functions, and business development teams. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 21,650 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 350 square feet of Profiled Single Skin for the project, which is set to open this Spring.

Located in the Mission Bay area of San Francisco, which was once dotted by railyards and industrial sites, is the new Owens Parking Garage, situated in what's become a high-profile neighborhood of luxury condos, retail, restaurants, and a new campus for the University of California (UC). The four-level garage will serve multiple UC Life Science buildings and the adjacent Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Mission Bay Medical Offices. For the project, MillerClapperton is fabricating more than 1,700 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

APEX SOUTHPARK

The River Landing Shops and Residences are under construction in the "health district" along the Miami River, west of downtown Miami. The project includes 25- and 23-story towers for 528 rental apartments, as well as office space. There will also be a building for retail shopping that has been enlarged to reach seven stories and is expected to open early this year. MillerClapperton is fabricating more than 53,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.

Located in the heart of SouthPark, this new mixed-use development will offer 345 world-class luxury apartments, a 175-room full service hotel with rooftop amenities, as well as a 68,000 square-foot worship center for SouthPark Church. The 12-story building will also feature 73,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and entertainment space, plus a 4-story parking garage. Scheduled to open this summer, MillerClapperton is fabricating 9,486 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.

WANDA VISTA HOTEL & RESIDENCES

Joining some of the most iconic buildings to grace the Chicago skyline, the new Vista Tower has become the third tallest building in the city. The 95-story glass and concrete tower will house luxurious 1-,2-3-, and 4-bedroom residential condominiums and the 5-star Wanda Vista Hotel. At 1,191 feet and adjacent to Lake Michigan, Vista Tower is poised to become on of Chicago's major architectural focal points. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 24,square feet for column covers, the main hotel entry canopy, main residential canopy, as well as the ballroom entru canopies.

College of the Holy Cross is building a new recreation and wellness center in place of the campus's 72-year-old Field House. The 52,000-square-foot, three-story facility will also offer more recreational space and services than the previous Field House. Among the new amenities will be sports courts, a golf simulator, and a suspended running track. The original building on the corner of 17th and L Street, which was constructed in 1974, was demolished to accommodate a new, 12-story office building located in Washington DC's Central Business District. The 154,000 square-foot project will feature ground floor retail, four stories of below-grade parking, in addition to amenities like a fitness center and rooftop terrace. Set to open this summer, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing more than 10,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material and more than 4,000 square feet of Stainless Steel, plus architectural louvers.

LYNN REHABILITATION CENTER

The Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center for the Jackson Health System is poised to become one of the world's premier rehabilitation hospitals. The center will treat adult and pediatric patients with spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries in a state-of-the-art 250,000-square-foot facility. Patients will benefit from indoor and outdoor spaces and patient apartments, where patients and caregivers can practice new, safe skills before returning home. Turner Construction Company is leading the project and MillerClapperton is fabricating more than 11,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material, totaling nearly 500 panels.

COSTEX TRACTOR PARTS

60 Charlton Street in Manhattan is undergoing a transformation, which includes vertically enlarging the existing six story building into a twleve story, Class A, boutique office building. The square footage will increase from 50,000 to 98,000 square feet and plans include an outdoor terrace space for the 11th and 12th floors. The ground floor will also be converted to retail space and the lobby will be relocated to Charlton Street. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating 2,462 square feet of Fiber Cement and a total of more than 700 panels.

Costex Tractor Parts specializes in the distribution of new replacement parts for Caterpillar equipment, and they are currently building a new corporate headquarters in Miami, FL near their current location. The new building will have 3 floors of office space totaling 90,000 square feet and 2 floors of warehouse space totaling 380,000 square feet. Combining their operations into one site will increase efficiency across all departments and offers greater capabilities to store a variety of parts. The modern and bright exterior design will feature 3,588 square of Metal Composite Material fabricated by MillerClapperton.

THE OSPREY

The Osprey is a new, 12-story apartment building taking shape on the Upper Westside of Atlanta at the corner of 10th and Howell Mill. Once completed, the building will house 319 luxury apartments with skyline views, and 13,000 square feet of street-level retail and restaurant space. Additional amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, sky lounge, and pet spa.

This is also the first building in Atlanta to utilize a new modular metal framing process that allowed for a quicker and more precise process than building with traditional materials. The improvement in efficiency allowed the builder to ultimately set aside a share of units as affordable housing. For this project, MillerClapperton will be fabricating and installing 1,496 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

ARTHREX OFFICE TOWER

Company Arthrex is nearing completion of their 122-foot tower that will support the medical device manufacturer's growth. This tower replaces an earlier building that was demolished, and overall, the expansion of the company's headquarters will include three new buildings. This particular office tower will stretch 6 stories and 300,000 square feet, and it will include ample meeting space, a 15,000-square-foot cafeteria, and a parking garage with 1,400 spots. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating nearly 13,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material.

BROADWAY RESIDENCES

The first phase of this long awaited project involved adapting connected 12- and six-story office buildings into 28,000 square feet of new retail space topped by 342 luxury apartments with a canopy restaurant. The project is part of a wave of new developments along Broadway that is transforming the Uptown neighborhood, which is known for having a lot of character and its own unique culture. MillerClapperton is fabricating nearly 30,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material to build 668 panels for this project.

STAR METALS

Star Metals Atlanta is a new mixed-use development in the heart of Atlanta's West Midtown neighborhood. The project will consist of multi-family residential and retail, in addition to Star Metals' Offices, a Class A office building directly across the street that will also have ground floor retail. The offices pictured above will feature 227,000 square feet of space with 11-13-ft ceiling and open floor plans for customization. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 48,700 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 60,400 square feet of Profiled Single Skin material.

MOVING IN THE SPIRIT

Moving in the Spirit is an award-winning creative youth development program that uses dance to teach young people the social, emotional, and cognitive skills they need to thrive. The nonprofit was selected as the community arts anchor for a new transit-oriented development at the Edgewood/Candler Park rail station.  The building is poised to become the centerpiece of the mixed-use project, which is transforming a former parking lot into housing, greenspace, and community amenities. For the project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 11,400 square feet of Fiber Cement totaling more than 600 panels.

BLVD AT LENOX

South Beach will be getting its first Target store at the new BLVD at Lenox, located in one of the most traveled commercial areas. The contemporary, 5-story development features more than 82,000 square feet of retail space and 224 parking spaces. It will also be one of the biggest LEED-certified buildings in Miami Beach once its completed. The facade includes an architectural concrete feature wall, as well as other cladding materials, which consists of 5,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material fabricated by MillerClapperton.

NORTH COBB LIBRARY

North Cobb Regional Library opened to the public in September 2019. The new building consolidates and replaces the former Kennesaw and Acworth libraries that were built in the mid-60's. Located on Old Highway 41 in Kennesaw, the 25,000 square foot space offers interactive play areas, dedicated child and teen reading rooms, creative space, a community room, study rooms, and a drive-up book drop. Outside, the playful angular sightlines of the building are accented with 9,870 square feet of Metal Composite Material in Harvest Gold. MillerClapperton fabricated and installed more than 330 panels for the project.

FOREVER 21 ATLANTIC STATION

Atlantic Station is undergoing a major transformation, which includes the addition of a flagship Forever 21, among other new tenants. The store occupies 21,000 square feet and it's located between Park East District and Market Street. The front facade has been decked out with a unique and iridescent basketweave tile, while MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing Metal Composite Material panels along the side of the store facing the open air walkway.

CAPITAL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

The new regional medical center in Prince George County will promote improved access to primary and ambulatory care services for county residents. The first phase of development includes a new, freestanding teaching hospital and ambulatory care building. Located adjacent to a Metro station, the medical center will ultimately anchor a pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use development. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 17,025 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 41,792 square feet of Single Skin Material.
